st(ART)ers
My 2020 after summer season at Tankstation started with small bites for the art expo of Iris Weltman.

lockdown delivery
2020! Oh, 2020!
Tankstation had to close its doors following “the great lockdown” made necessary by COVID-19. The kitchen, however, couldn’t close. There are people that depend on its benevolence or it is the best food they get to eat twice a week or they just wanted to show their support. I headed the kitchen one Tuesday to bring some homely Indian food to people’s tables.

wonder feast
2019 ended with a feast. On the menu were seven courses where we tried to balance colour, flavour and texture. I helped in building the menu and was responsible for the starters and the soup.

allée rentrée
A 2 day festival held in September 2019, Allée Rentrée was an all-out display of the cultural initiatives of Enschede. We built a small kitchen to serve hot food to the festival goers. Indian, Syrian and Continental were cuisines on the menu. We served about 500 people from our little shed.

yoga brunch
Built a menu with flavours from British and Indian cuisine. Been a while since these two sat at the same table.
dancehall brunch
Dancehall comes from Jamaica. This brunch was inspired by Caribbean flavours.
belly dance brunch
Ingrid from Al Hayat Dance planned a dance workshop to teach people the intricacies of controlled gyrations of the belly devised by women in Egypt. I designed a brunch that would complement the workout and the culture.
